Here's a fun and easy Spring project you can do with your little ones. A cute watercolor bunting that's perfect for a Spring or Easter banner, Easter baskets or cake.
Here's all you will need to complete the project
-kid friendly watercolors
-kids paint
-brushes
-cup to hold water
-twine
-hot glue gun
-scissors
I had my little one and her best friend go at it with the pastel colors you see above from the watercolor set. They colored just a few pages and it all worked perfectly to make a cute bunting.
When they were finished, I let their art pieces air dry...took about 15 minutes. From there, I let the girls trace and cut triangles from a fold. You will definatley need to supervise and help them with this part.
After we cut the triangles (diamond shapes) I glued the pieces to some twine. Finally, I let the girls put on the final touches by painting designs onto the triangles. The piece you see below was the one I liked most. Turned out even cuter than I had imagined.
I used the bunting to decorate small baskets and tins I used as Easter baskets. I used some left over art work to cut out a Easter egg and I added it to the banner I made for the girls as seen below.
